The Missing Link May Be Vision

After a concussion, the visual system can be affected because vision is not simply about seeing clearly.

Your eyes continuously send information to the brain, while the brain processes that information to help you read, focus, track movement, judge space, maintain balance, and respond to your environment.

When this eye-brain connection is disrupted, everyday activities can become surprisingly difficult.

Oakville Centre for Vision notes that visual problems following concussion may include headaches, eye strain, blurred or double vision, difficulty reading, dizziness, and light sensitivity.

At Brain Vision Institute, concussion care takes a broader brain-visual perspective, evaluating how visual processing may be contributing to persistent symptoms and difficulties in everyday life.
